OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME:
To provide technical support to the Ministry of Health on Hepatitis program to monitor the implementation of the National Hepatitis action plan
SUMMARY OF ASSIGNED DUTIES:
Under the direct supervision of Team Leader for HIV/Hepatitis/STI, and in close collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of Health and partners the incumbent will:
provide technical assistance to the National hepatitis program on hepatitis prevention and care within the context of strengthening health systems
Identify gaps in public hepatitis B vaccination and testing programs, and work closely with government partners, the expert panel, hepatitis B working group, and others including international partners to identify solutions
provide technical support to the National hepatitis program to develop and implement comprehensive national plan for the prevention and control of viral hepatitis including through strategic planning processes, in line with the Global Strategy and hepatitis guidelines
assist the national hepatitis program in monitoring and evaluation of national program for hepatitis especially in developing of monitoring plans
develop stronger linkages between HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections control and other health programmes and services particularly to drug dependence and harm reduction, sexual and reproductive health, and maternal, newborn and child health
assist in implementation of integrated framework of EMTCT plus (Elimination of mother-to-child transmission) through the common platform of maternal-child health to address hepatitis B as a public health problem
assist the program to review government policies and guidelines to enhance innovation and efficiency to achieve screen and treat targets for EMTCT for syphilis, HIV and hepatitis;
Provide support to the program to improve STI case management and STI and hepatitis service delivery models
assist the National Hepatitis program to address the needs of vulnerable populations, reduce vulnerability and structural barriers to accessing services
Ensure the documentation of outcomes in order to advise on replicable models and create policy advocacy documents
Undertake any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor as required.

Sound understanding of principles of public health, to be able to provide quality technical inputs, and good problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills
Education Qualifications:
Essential: Master’s degree in public health
Desirable: First degree in Medicine
Experience:
Essential:
At least two years of professional work experience in the field of hepatitis/HIV/STI
At least two years working experience with Ministry of Health, provincial or district levels
Desirable:
Three or more years of experience in the field of public health working with hepatitis/HIV/STI programs will be an asset.
Three or more years of experience working with the Ministry of Health will be an asset.
Experience working in the UN or other international development organization
Languages:
Expert knowledge of written and spoken English and native language skills in Bahasa Indonesia
Other Skills (e.g. IT):
Work is performed in normal working environment.
Computer literacy: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Annual salary: In accordance with WHO Salary Scale for SSA (Level A: 25,708,600 – 41,419,266 IDR).
